Nowadays,fashion trends seem to have no limits. To simplify it, the weirder you look the better. And I didn't mean it as bad weird but pretty weird. Pretty weird in a way that new fashion pieces that are worn today can’t be worn in the previous years.  And out of creativity and the value of taking risks, these wonderful fashion pieces are made. Here are some of the most interesting pieces that are trending today.

More colors, more fun! In the fashion trends of the young generation today, there will always be a statement piece that shouts color. This fashion trend started when the K-POP industry started to take over the hearts of the young generation of today.

The Awesome Caps

Who said the swag and cute can’t go together? With these colorful caps and hats, I’ll say it could! With the cool designs and details that are on these hats, these surely are established as statement pieces that can rock out a simple shirt, a pair of jeans and your worn out sneakers. These pieces are usually worn by K-POP celebrities such as Girls’ Generation, B1A4, Kim Hyun-a and many more.

Dyed Denim shorts

If these denim shorts didn’t catch your attention, there’s something wrong with your eyes. Who’ll resist this adorable denim shorts that has vivid colors with metal studs? With its edgy cut and cute colors, it’s a great way of being sexy and cute at the same time. Also, it gives short shots a new reputation. Most of the time, they are referred to as too much sexy but now it’s more on being pretty edgy. 

Gorgeous Hair in Ombre

Before, having more than one color on hair can only be done by means of having highlights but that rule ended when Ombre was born. This trend also started with the K-POP fashion. After it was seen on K-POP celebrities, it was by the fans making it known to non K-POP fans. Now, anyone, either boys or girls could express their personality and creativity by means of the colors they’ll choose for their hair.

Before, bracelets used to simple, having only one band and minimal charms but now, the more bands and charms, the better. Cool. I thought thatI could only see ear cuffs worn with Egyptian costumes but never in someone’s closet. Anyone wearing this would definitely become a head turner because of its edginess. This is an accessory that’s definitely a statement piece of its own.

These earrings is definitely a must have. With all the looks that you can do with this earring, this is surely a wise buy. This earring can be worn in several ways. When you buy this, it comes with a separate backing (the one that locks your earring in place) so you can wear only one piece if you want to tone down the extraordinariness of your look.

Fashionistas already have extravagant nail arts and yet they want more. Nail rings are very elegant pieces. I think, these rings can be mostly worn with gowns or formal dresses but that just my opinion. Anyone one can wear it anytime and anywhere they want it. But one thing’s for sure, you now can’t wait to have it.

If you’re a rocker chick and you want to be more edgy, this is the accessory for you. This is definitely a statement piece because of its authenticity with antique-ish feel that shows elegance.

Cuff Rings

If you don’t like the first three rings and you just want to keep it simple, this is a good choice for you to step up your style. This type of rings resembles brass knuckles. They usually have 2-3 finger slots and have great individual designs. Depending on the design, you can wear these with any outfit or any occasions. These are commonly worn by singers, musicians and models in Hollywood. One of them is Miley Cyrus.

Adorable Animal Inspired Flats

Pet lover or not, no one can resist these adorable flats. These are definitely head turners. If girls saw you wearing these babies, I’m sure they want to kill you right now. Aside from its cuteness, it’s also very comfortable because these are flats. It’s fit with your busy schedule as you look cute while running around errands in these cuties!

The piece that really caught my attention is this one. Just like what they say, “Save the best last for last.” These are the shoes with no heels. As you can see it, it’s weird. When I first saw this, seriously, I freaked out. How can you walk wearing those? I first saw this on Lady Gaga so with that, I can say that extraordinary people are the ones that can only give justice to this extraordinary shoes! 

Out of creativity, imagination and bravery these masterpieces were born. There are still a lot more interesting fashion pieces that you can wear. Either way, your style cannot be dictated by anyone but you. Wear those pieces that shows you are, not because it’s on trend. How to color your drawings perfectly?

For some of you guys who loves drawing, like me, some of you has problems with coloring (for those who doesn’t, good for you guys! :D) I have lots of trouble using crayons, color pencils, water colors and the hardest of all, the oil pastels. In using crayons and color pencils, it’s really hard to maintain even strokes. With water colors, you must have a really good paper or else the drawing will be crippled. For the oil pastels, it’s the mess that makes it really hard blending. Because I was really frustrated with how my drawings turned out ruined, I tried to look for ways to make them look neat and like those in cartoons. Well, it’s quite complicated but achieving perfection is never easy right?  Let’s color this drawing I scanned (I traced with using a 0.5 sign pen) using Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) and Paint.

Step 1:
Open the applications MicrosotPowerpoint and Paint.

Step 2:
Copy the drawing to PPT.

Step 3: 

Double click on the picture it will bring you to the Format menu for Picture tools.Click the Corrections icon and a drop down will show. Select the last option. This is done to clean the pictures and make the lines even.

Step 4:

Copy the drawing to Paint. Then, go to Properties. Simply press Ctrl+E and a pop-up window will show up.  Click the button beside the option Black and white under Colors and click OK.  Another pop-up window will show then click OK.

After clicking OK, you will notice that the lines of the drawing became thicker with scattered dots so we need to clean it. In erasing the dots, you need to use the eraser tool and erase them manually. After you have cleaned your drawing, go back to Properties and click the button aligned with the option Color under the Colors option. By that point you can now color your drawing freely and make necessary adjustments in your drawing in Paint.

If you want to step up the colors of your drawing, you can do it in PPT. All you need to have are files of pictures, patterns, backgrounds, etc. that you desire to use in your drawing. The following are the steps that in doing so.

Step 1:

Open MS PPT.

Step 2:

Copy the drawing that you have colored in Paint and paste it in PPT

Step 3:
I choose to change the color of the tail with a pattern so to do this, click twice the picture and the Format tab for Picture Tool will open. Click the Color icon and on the drop down menu, select Set Transparent Color. A distinct pointer will appear. click on the tail and it will become transparent.

Step 4:
Right click on the picture and select Format Picture and a window will open.

Click Fill, and then click the button for Picture or texture fill. Click the File button and another window will open. Go to the location of the desired background.Once you found it, select it and click Open.

It will turn out like this. 

If you’re still not contented, for example, you want to use another background for the hair. You cannot repeat the same steps right away. Open Paint. Copy the picture from PPT and paste it to Paint. Copy the picture again from Paint and paste it back to PPT. this is done to remove the formatting of the picture because you can only set a transparent color once. After this, you can now do the same steps you did to change the color of the tail in changing the color of the hair.

To save the picture, right click on the picture and then select Save as Picture option. A pop-up window will show up. Type in your desired file name and then click Save. This is the final output. If you’ll tell me that you haven’t seen any Lindsay Lohan film, you got to be kidding me. If you happen to be born in the 90’s, it’s impossible that you do not know who Lindsay Lohan is. Not knowing her is like not knowing the taste of ice cream.

Lindsay Lohan is the red-head charmer that started as a child star turned teen superstar. As early as 10, she started acting on television, and until then she never stopped doing great movies. Here are my Top 10 Lindsay Lohan Films.

TOP 10: I Know Who Killed Me (2007)

Lindsay played here as the writer named Aubrey Flemming who wrote a story about a psycho-killer that takes young ladies who cut off their arms and legs before killing them. Surprisingly, Aubrey was lost. By the time she was found, her arm and leg are gone, just like the victims in her stories. When she woke up, she was already a different person who claims that she is Dakota Moss who is not known to anybody. 

Even though this film is not as good as her earlier movies, it’s still a good pick. This movie showed her flexibility as an actress in doing thriller movies and doing sexy roles aside from being the ‘girl next door’ side of her that we usually see.

TOP 9: Liz & Dick (2012) 

Lindsay Lohan starred here as the controversial Elizabeth Taylor in this television film. This film shows the ups and downs of her fabulous career in Hollywood, her luxurious life and her scandalous love affairs. 

It has been two years since the last time that Lindsay really did well playing the role of Elizabeth Taylor in this movie. Despite that it’s just a TV movie, it received good reviews from the critics. This movie didn't become as popular as her other blockbuster movies, still it’s a good comeback after years full only of controversies and scandals.

TOP 8: Just My Luck (2006) 

Lindsay co-stars here with the hot actor Chris Pines. Lindsay played here as Ashley Albright, a girl whose never experienced having bad day until she kissed the unluckiest guy in a masquerade party. The next day, the tables are now turned. Ashley sat on a bench with wet paint, got wet by a car that drove through a puddle, and got fired on the same day. Finally, Ashley had a bad day. What happened? Where did her luck go?

Lindsay co-starred here with the hot actor Chris Pines. This is a fun movie to watch especially if your love story is a proof of the saying opposite attracts.

TOP 7: Georgia Rule (2007)

Lindsay played here as Rachel Wilcox, a prodigal daughter who is banished in Idaho to be with her controlling grandmother Georgia (Jane Fonda) for the summer because her mother (Felicity Hoffman) doesn't know what to do with her anymore. By the time she got there, all she ever did is try to get out. But everything changed as she met the interesting people that helped her mother understand what she’s really going through and all she ever wanted is a family which she found in Idaho.

This is one of the best movies I've ever watched. This is a very heartwarming story of how a family is reunited by means listening to each other. I can relate to this type of family because I experience the same thing with mine. I think that it’s a good movie to watch with your mom. I assure you it will make the both of you realize something after the movie.

TOP 6: Labor Pains (2009)

Some stories just keep on growing.. Right. Lindsay here is the too good to be true (in a negative way) Thea Clayhill. When his boss Jerry caught her backstabbing against him, she got fired. She cannot afford to get fired so she pretended to be pregnant because there is a law in America that companies shouldn't fire a pregnant woman no matter how she deserves it. When she started acting pregnant, everything became okay including a promotion, lots of money, and a love life. Unfortunately, what goes around comes around. She got busted and everything is more screwed up. Everything that she got from that lie are all gone including the trust from the people that she loves. It’s now up to her to save the things that she worked for.

This movie made for TV is really good and has lots of lessons in it although the casting doesn't include A-list stars. Also, it’s one those movies that Lindsay looks hot so you really got to watch this. 

TOP 5: Herbie Fully Loaded (2005)

Lindsay here is Maggie Peyton, the fresh high school graduate which doesn't know what’sup for her in college. Her father bought her an old Volkswagen beetle as a graduation gift. Because of some weird things that it can do, she hated the car so much that she tried to get rid of it not knowing that its one hell of a pick for it’s a former race car whose name is Herbie. Find out how Maggie survives the racing industry as the only female racer and how she will learn the importance the things that she has.

This is one of best movies that Lindsay had made during the peak of her stardom. Aside from co-starring with thefunny actor Justin Long that made the movie more fun to watch, its also her last film to do with Disney its better be good.


TOP 4: Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004)

Lindsay stars here as the drama queen Mary Elizabeth “Eliza”Cep. From the big city, her family needs to move to a small town in New Jersey to a start new life. In her new school she met her shy best friend Alice. To establish a status and get what she want, she told lies. At first everything was great especially when she got the lead role of the school’s prestigious play. As time pass by, everything was about to change as the truth is revealed that who she seems is not really who she is. Now she’s known as a liar and everything she worked for is lost. Find out how Eliza redeem herself as she discover her true self and know what she’s all about.

This movie is one of her greatest movies even though it just made so-so in the box office. Also, this one is memorable because Lindsay starred here with the hot Megan Fox as Carla as her rival in the movie. Now that’s competition, right folks?

TOP 3: Freaky Friday (2003)

Lindsay starred here as the cool weirdo Anna Coleman who has a mom which happens to be her complete opposite. One morning, everything’s twisted up as they found out that they switched bodies. It’s gonna be crazy but fun journey as they discover the perks of each other’s lives. It’s a good flick to share with your family.

Lindsay stars here with the A-list star Jamie Lee Curtis as her funny mother on this hilarious film for families. This movie serves as one of Lindsay’s stepping stone to stardom as one of the teen queens of early 2000 as she said to be a star in the making.   

Top 2: Mean Girls (2004)

Can a girl from the jungle survive the girl world?Well.. Anyway, Lindsay stars here as Cady Heron, a smart girl from a weird family from the jungle of Africathat movedto America. Growing up homeschooled she doesn’t know how school works, including the different social groups and the complicated girl world. Then, she meetsDamian and Janis, the Art freaks, who’ll teach her how to fit in. One day, Cady was noticed by The Plastics (Regina, Gretchen and Karen, the reigning teen royalty in their campus that knows nothing but boys and being insecure) to be one of them. Damian and Janis came up with the idea of destroying the Plastics through Cady. After Cady joined the group, she discovers that girls hate each other and spread rumors behind their backs. As Cady tries to destroy the Plastics, she didn't realize she already turned into a new one having her leave her true friends for fame and a guy. When everything fails, she was then back as being the weird outcast. Now it’s up to her how she’ll bring everything back in place and correct the destructing girl world.

Out of the wonderful script of the witty Tina Fey comes this great movie that mirrors the real girl world. This movie is a must for the girls of all ages because it reveals how insecure and mean girls can be. Lindsay stars here with the A-list stars Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Rachel Adams, Amanda Seyfried, Jonathan Bennett, and many more. This is a great flick to watch with your girlfriends.

TOP 1: Parent Trap (1998)

What will you do if one day you will bump into someone who has the same face like you do? Of course you’ll freak out, right? This is how the adventures of the parted twins started. Lindsay stars here as the twins Hallie Parker and Annie James. Their parents separated a long time ago so they don’t have an idea that they have a twin. Annie grew up in England with their mother and Hallie grew up in America with their father.As they found out that they are twins, they decided to switch places. Annie goes home with their father, and Annie with her mother. Once their parents found out that the twins are switched, their parents would see each other to switch them back that may lead them to be reunited. It would've been easy if their parents were both single but unfortunately their father is already engaged with a young gold-digger. Now it’s up to them to save their father from that marriage and have their parents back together to have them feel what it’s like to have a complete family. 

This is the blockbuster movie that debuted Lindsay Lohan in the land of Hollywood. How? Well, it just earned over sixty million dollars. With Lindsay playing two roles at the same time and bearing with the demands of the production for the intricate cinematography of the film, Lindsay proved that she’s not just any pretty face in Hollywood. Lindsay starred here with premiere actors Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson as the twins’ lovely parents. This is  really od film to watch with your family.

Even though I listed only ten of my favorite Lindsay’s movies, there is still a ton of great movies that Lindsay made under Disney and other movie productions like Life-size, A Prairie Home Companion, Bobby,Machete, and many more. She is such a wonderful actress and I hope that she would have her career back on track as well as her family be reunited again. No more dramas for the drama queen. Let’s give her support and love. What's more deadly: gaining weight or losing faith?

By the year 2011, I was really fat. I was studying at UE that time and like any other teenager; I had a lot of insecurities. Since I am studying in a private school, I have a lot of beautiful classmates I envy so much. Among my friends, I am the fattest. i have a crush that time. as we became friends, he started showing interest towards me but my world fell apart when I found out that he likes my best friend which I don't question because she is the prettiest among the girls in our section. Because of that, I got really stressed and my insecurities got worse. I started exercising but i want a faster result so I starved myself. Instead of losing weight, I gained more due to over eating at night because I’m not eating during the day. Then, I convinced my parents to let me stop telling them to give way for my siblings' education but the truth is to lose weight in a year and come back as a new person.

One day, while I was browsing channels I saw an advertisement introducing a slimming product which tells that it is really effective. Because I was really desperate, even though I know that it costs much, I told my mother to buy me that product. I kept my asking my mother for the whole month of April but she won't still buy me one. My frustration got much worse so I starved myself more, I cry the whole day, I started having suicidal tendencies and the worst of all, I questioned God. I have plans of hanging myself everyday but I can't do it. I even took a naphthalene ball nothing happened. I was writing notes full of curses and self-pity towards God asking why am I fat. My mother can’t take it anymore seeing me doing that to myself so she decided to order that slimming product just to make me stop.

When the slimming product came, instead of happiness I felt guilt. But since I really want to see the result, I didn't put attention to it. a week of using it passed and nothing happened so I told myself I got to give it another week. The time came that I finished taking the whole package and my clothes still fit the same. I was crying the whole night regretting wasting money to that stupid slimming product. I could've used that money to lessen my balance for my tuition fee for the previous semester. It was like the middle of the night when I came to my mother telling how sorry I am for being selfish. Since she was sleepy, she just said that it’s okay. Then I prayed that night, asked forgiveness from God for acting stupid for a long time, not thinking of our financial problems.

Eventually I was able to move with that and try to start a new life by transferring to another school which is the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina. As I started forgetting my frustrations of losing weight, I didn't know that God was planning something. On the second semester, there was an intercollegiate cheer dance competition. I joined the team. We started the rehearsals and surprisingly, I saw curves! I was so happy that time. I even got to wear our sexy cheering costume confidently. I learned that if you learn to accept and be contented with what you have, that's the time God will give unexpected blessings you never thought that will happen. now, I won't say that I’m very much contented with my life because if I said I am, I’m probably lying. Still I have insecurities with myself but now I learned that there are lots of things that you should work on rather than you're physical appearance. I would rather make myself busy with my studies and make the people that accepted me happy.

Have you ever asked the following questions above to yourself? Apparently, you are not alone. Luckily, if you’re one of them, the answer is just one click away. It’s YouTube (YT). What? For some of you, YT is just a video uploading site used by morons to show off stunt videos showing how they survived from killing their selves, or those people who sing, dance and do other stuff just to gain instant fame. Well, that’s true but YT is also a very good source of information, both useful and non-useful. A lot of intelligent people from different fields have their own channels on YT to share their knowledge by doing tutorial videos on how to do things. Since trying to be pretty is my concern, here are my most trusted gurus I follow on YT which I found very helpful.

From great make-up tips to trimming your waist, Michelle will never run out of problems she would try to give ideas. This bubbly Vietnamese started doing only make-up tutorials. The first video of her that I saw is the Seductive Vampire look and that very same night I’m looking for brown eye shadows. I was really amazed so I subscribed to her channel right away.She also does tutorials on how to look like celebrities. When I say looking like celebrities, it’s legit. Some of the looks she did are the looks of Angelina Jolie, Cara Delevigne and Miranda Kerr. She also do make up tutorials inspired by animes, cartoons, movie characters, robots, Egyptians, unicorns, Barbie, Barbie zombie and many more. She also does tutorials of DIY nail arts, transforming scarfs to dresses, applying fake tan, outfit suggestions, how to reduce bloatingand even how to draw. Also, she helps her viewers deal with various life problems by making videos that centers on women empowerment, moving on, and many more. Because of Michelle’s great talent and hard work, she was blessed with her own cosmetic line called Em which is really doing great both in the local and international market. I’m really rooting for her and I hope that she won’t stop doing tutorials and continue helping and inspiring young girls and women all over the world.

Sam and Nick are sisters. Both of them do great make-up tutorials. At first, the only one who does tutorials on YT is Sam but eventually her sister Nick did tutorials too on the same channel under the name Pixi Woo. I love the vibe of these sisters when they are doing their individual make-up tutorials. Even though the looks that they do are quite intricate and very detailed, it won’t intimidate you to finish watching it because they are both cool with their strong but sweet British accents. Most of the make-up looks they do are quite draggy and strong but I think that they are wearable. For women who want to step up their look, the looks they came up with are good to do. My favorite looks that they have done are; Perrie Little Mix Makeup Tutorial, My Wedding Day Makeup Tutorial, Kristen Stewart Make-Up Tutorial, Rihanna M.A.C Makeup Tutorial, Blue-Green Smokey Eye Makeup Tutoria, Bond Girl 'Domino' Make up Tutorial, and the Prom Makeup Victoria's Secret Style.

Kandee Johnson is the first make-up guru I found in YT. I was searching tutorials on how to make your eyes look bigger and her name showed up. I opened her video and my problem is answered. I was blown away on how she did it. After that I subscribed to her channel and kept anticipating for her next videos. Also, she is good on doing make-ups of movie characters, personalities, cartoons, and many more. The funny thing with her videos is that it’s quite theatrical in a way because she often sings and does monologues by the end of her videos which make her videos longer than it should be but either way; she’s really a good make-up artist.

Promise Phan is the sister-in-law of Michelle Phan. Her best videos would be those complete transformations of herself into some celebrities, movie and cartoon characters, and riciculous personalities.

Lisa Eldridge is a professional make-up artist that does make-up tutorials mostly for professional photo shoots and runways. She doesn’t do character transformations but rather glam make-up looks. I think that the people who will be her subscribers are also professional make-up artists that want to be better in their profession. In some of her videos, she does the look on professional models but sometimes she does the tutorial on herself.

Is you’re problem on applying you’re make-up is your eyes that is monolid? If your answer is yes, Jen is the right make-up guru for you. Why? Because she’s also a monolid. Jen is an Asian and it’s common for most of the Asian girls to be monolids which makes it hard in making the eye shadow visible because our eyelids’ folds are deep. She also does K-POP inspired looks because she is a fan of 2NE1.

This girl is one of my favorite to watch among the gurus because she is inappropriately hilarious. Among all the people I got to see on YT, she is the only female I laugh on. This is NatyMidnight, I don’t know her real name. She usually does reactions, DIY’s, and commentaries, outfit suggestionsbut few make-up tutorials. Also I like the fact that she looks like a Filipino. Anyway, the first video of her that I saw is the video on how to make your underarms lighter. At first I was quite uncomfortable watching the video but when her nasty sense of humor came out, I really enjoyed watching her. It seems like I’m watching something variety show when the truth is I’m learning. Also I love her video about her experience on her nose piercing. I was really interested in getting my nose pierced but I’m scared of the process but after I watched her video, I felt relieved. Her sense of humor which timely goes out really helps her videos more effective.
